Easter Sublimation Designs
Sublimation is a chemical process that transforms your print onto a substrate by applying heat and pressure to the material. The resulting image is extremely durable and looks great on a variety of fabrics.
The sublimation method is a little more expensive than screen printing, but the results can be much more impressive. In addition, you can add more colors to your design by using this process.
Creating a sublimation transfer is easier than it sounds. All you need is a light color fabric with a polyester count of 60% or higher (the higher the polycount, the more vibrant the final product).
Easter Sublimation Designs – Heat Press
A heat press and an image file are all that’s required to get your sublimation job done. Once you’ve got your design ready, you can use your heat press to apply the transfer to your garment in about three seconds.
You can also use a regular inkjet printer to create an iron on transfer if you don’t have a sublimation machine. This works if don’t want to spend the money on a professional sublimation press. The main difference between a sublimation transfer and an iron on is that the latter will not be as durable or long lasting.
Best of all, you can get a high-quality, full-color sublimation transfer. This is without the weeding or mess of a traditional inkjet print. And, the cool thing is that you can use your existing fabric and ink for this project!
This gimmick is a great way to show your family and friends how much you care this holiday season. With a little bit of creativity and effort, you can make something truly special for the people you love.
